MAC-TO THE BEACH NAIL POLISH & KONAD S9 SWATCHES

The colour of the day is In The Buff, a new MAC nail polish from their new collection: To The Beach Le Collection. It has another colour in the collection called Scorcher or something but the colour didnt look like it was worth Rm 42. I mean its a normal colour- something you see all the time in other brand's collection.

Neways, I went to the MAC counter yesterday and i just grabbed this new In The Buff colour when i saw it. Didn't even try it out. In the bottle it looks like one of those foundation for light tanned skin. Its totally an unique colour i must say. Never did i own anything quite like this before.

The description to this colour says its a muted taupe avocado. I really cannot agree to it. Taupe is a grayish-brownish colour. This is definitely not it. Its more greenish yellowish. Something like old olive i must say. The texture is very creamy, and it shines too. So neway these are the swatches of it.

*sorry its a bit blurry. Morning sun wasnt out much yet:-)

There are various description about this colour and how unique it is and yada yada yada.. , personally it reminds me so much of baby's poo. I really cannot find any other description to this one. It definitely doesn't agree to me. Probably will look nicer on fair skin. The texture of this polish, the formula of this polish and even the application is terrific. Even the packaging is really nice, and the price, though its at the higher end of Rm 42, since the formula and drying time is good, its quite worth it. Only the colour! I don't think ill ever wear this again. Even my housemates says its yucky! Its unique ya but hmm..

Then i thought hey.. y not try the konad; and so here is my second attempt for Konad-ing. I hope its ok this time. Shouldn't have put on the top coat-thats y the blurry image:-(

So.. what do you girls think? Will you buy this colour or not? Its definitely one of a kind. I wish it was darker a little bit and more green than yellow. Then at least it would have looked like fresh olives. Yeah i have obsession towards greens so i am biased. I suggest you girls to read other people's review too before purchasing it. Many favors it. I certainly wouldn't
Neway, Should i try konad-ing anymore?:-(

  1. Nisha,
You've improved! This design is much easier than the french manicure design, rite? Hehe..

For the top-coat, just paint over the dried design swiftly (2 or 3 strokes the most) & u won't have that blurry, smudgey problem. Hehe..
Yes, the keyword is "FAST & SWIFT" :P

Or you can try Konad's top coat. I've never tried it, but i heard it's pretty good.

I used the OPI Matte Nail Envy i bought from you as the top coat for my Konad design, they worked as well. :D
