OPI'S CREPES SUZI-ETTE SWATCHES & NAIL ART
Good Morning Girls!

read more "OPI'S CREPES SUZI-ETTE SWATCHES & NAIL ART"
Its Monday again:-( Damn I just cant stand the thought of waking up every Monday! I wish we could skip Monday and go straight to Tuesday morning! Oh well, crap happens, but for me, “crêpe” happened:-D
What am I talking about? I’m talking about one of my favorite shade of all time: Crepes suzi-ette! Ive read numerous reviews on it but nobody actually loved this colour. I on the other hand love it because among the ‘reds’, this is the only one that suits me well.
Crepes Suzi-ette is a reddish coral colour that’s leaning towards the brownish side. Enough talking, pics already?
All these were taken under artificial lightings. The colour is actually darker in real life. More brownish, rather than red as what the picture portrays.
Neway, I decided to spice it up a lil bit for work so I added OPI’s Barefoot In Barcelona:
Have a fun Monday morning ahead. Take care..

Hi girls..

Today’s post is all about multicolored nails. Ok not so much of the rainbow “paddlepop” like nails, but multicolor-shaded nails is more like it. I got this idea from All lacquered Up.
The colors I used are; (from little finger to thumb) Green from Skin Food nail vita, Essie’s Apple Mint Candy, Essie’s Caicos & Turquoise, Mixture of Essie’s C&T and Orly’s Bailamos, Orly Bailamos.
This pic I had The Face Shop’s Blue glitter polish on it:
This gives me an idea to make my own multicolored ombre manicure in orange! Going to do it one of these days. Till the.. Tc..

OPI TEAL THE COWS COME HOME, ZOYA TALLULAH AND BUNDLE MONSTER BM16 NAIL ART
Hi girls..

read more "OPI TEAL THE COWS COME HOME, ZOYA TALLULAH AND BUNDLE MONSTER BM16 NAIL ART"
I found one of my old OPI polish- Teal The Cows Come Home (Cute name isn’t it?) and I decided to do a random swatch on it. Upon applying it, it didn’t turn out to be so much of a unique blue to be worn alone so instead; I mixed it up a bit.
I blended it with Zoya’s Tallulah, a blue that’s a shade darker than Teal The Cows Come Home using the colour blending style like here, and topped it up with Bundle Monster’s Fauxnad BM 16 using Konad’s special nail polish in black.
Of course the design wasn’t wide enough for the whole nail hence the reason for the gap on the sides. But it can go unnoticed if you don’t see it :-D
So what you think?

STEP UP 3D- BROKEN TANGO INSPIRED NAIL ART
Forgive me for this post as it will be a bit sidetracked from the usual nail polish related post. Today is all about dance- the other love of my life (along with my family and job); yea nails is secondary to these. Anyway, I just watched step up 3 a week ago and although others might like all the other sequences in the movie, I loved the tango the most; or in this case the broken tango as it was not pure tango. Not a fan of all the other sequences because that’s not the genre I go for. I love Contemporary- ballet like, and America-Latin ballroom dancing. Not much of a hip-hop and break-dancing fan.

Anyway, after watching that I came up with an idea for a nail art (not so much of an art) but it was seriously inspired by the tango steps. Ok here’s a question: What do you first notice when you see tango taking place? The guy who leads confidently, or the girl who gives in gracefully? I like the girls; and you know why? Because I’ve got no idea how they dance in those high heels! It’s an art of its own! I’ve broken few bones trying it doing salsa so seriously, bravo to those graceful dancers. This nails art is for you:

First I painted my nails using Essie’s Turquoise and Caicos(T&C), then once it was dried, I dapped The Face Shop’s white polish and OPI’s who the shrek are you on it using a tissue paper (couldn’t find a sponge). Once all dried I re-dapped Essie’s T&C. All done and dried, I drew the heels using Bloop’s Black polish and a brush. Easy isn’t it. Hope you girls like it.
Back to the tango story, here is another of my favorite tango video:
So sexy isn’t it? Wish I could move like that. Haish.. A dream that is almost impossible to come true.

NAIL ART: COLOUR BLENDING
Good Morning Girls..
Guess what? I just received my polishes from US- China Glaze and Misa colours. However due to weather trouble (it cant stop raining here!) I wont be able to do any swatches. Hopefully there’s some sunshine this weekend.
Anyway, for today’s post it’s going to be more of a nail art thingy. Initially I was trying out the sponge technique, unfortunately it was so awful and the colour was too sheer that I had to just blend them on my nails. The outcome wasn’t that bad I think:
So what I did here was to use 2 colours from Nubar; absolute and Nubar Treasure, and blend them together.
How to do it? First apply your base coat followed by the base colour- In this case it’s Nubar absolute.
Then just before it dries up, put on the second colour on the tip of your nails. It doesn’t need to be tidy. I wasn’t too happy with the one coat effect so I redid the same thing for the second coat, only this time, the blue; I only used it to cover the lower area, and trying to blend the purple and the blue so there is a 3rd colour effect in the centre. All this you have to do while the polishes are not dried up yet. At the end, it should look something like this:
Wait till it dries off and put on your glossy topcoat. As usual I’m using Diamont Nubar. It takes quite some time to dry though.
I hope you girls like this. It would look really nice with konad tooJ Still waiting for my stamp so cant show you girls that effect.
T.CARE..

WHAT'S VANESSA HUDGENS WEARING?- GREEN & BROWN
Morning girls,
today's post is more about deciding what is vanessa wearing on her nails, coz its really bizarre, and i'm not sure if its a upcoming trend or what so ever. Neway, this is what she was caught having on her nails
She wears a jade-like green polish on all her nails but her ring nail, and a matching brownish, goldish pedi. Hmm..
I'm not really sure why but i recreated the look in my bedroom- you know just for fun, out of boredom and this is what i got:
Nop, still looked like something was wrong.. Hmm.. my age probably :-(
The colours i used here are Essie's Apple Mint Candy, & Nubar's Jewel.
I think Vanessa was having Chanel's Nouvelle Vague. If you want to recreate this look in cheaper option, Skin Food has a similar colour:-)
Take care..

WEEKEND PROJECT: RECYCLE NAIL ART
Hi girls.
The project this weekend is to do sort of like a recycle nail art. Well not really 'recycle' recyle but recycle:-D
This kind of nail art is known as the newspaper nail art. Truthfully i didn't use any newspaper for these because as you know- our newspapers are not white; more yellowish isnt it? So i used magazines instead to create the 'newspaper' look:-)
Here is how i did this.
1. Firstly, paint you nails with base coat and desired background colour. Here i'm using the Face Shop's white polish (its so not nice! So thick and hard to apply!)
2. Then tear newspapers (magazine in this case) to small pieces and stick them on your already dried nails using a topcoat.
3. Press the papers down to flatten them- I used the back part of the orange stick.
4. Then lastly apply a layer or two of top coat for a perfect finish (mine is quite messy- well 1st time:-)
I tried putting my nails under running water after it was completely dry and it perfectly stayed in place so i don’t think bathing and all will influence the nail art. It should be ok for a day or two provided you take good care of it. Just make sure you put a layer of topcoat every day if you want it to last:-)
Oh ya.. i added some variety to it. Hope you like them:-)
