I found one of my old OPI polish- Teal The Cows Come Home (Cute name isn’t it?) and I decided to do a random swatch on it. Upon applying it, it didn’t turn out to be so much of a unique blue to be worn alone so instead; I mixed it up a bit.
I blended it with Zoya’s Tallulah, a blue that’s a shade darker than Teal The Cows Come Home using the colour blending style like here, and topped it up with Bundle Monster’s Fauxnad BM 16 using Konad’s special nail polish in black.
Of course the design wasn’t wide enough for the whole nail hence the reason for the gap on the sides. But it can go unnoticed if you don’t see it :-D
So what you think?
OPI BASQUE IN THE SUN AND BM01 FAUXNAD SWATCHES
Morning Girls..
Today is all about bronze and browns. Ok not really. The reason I’m having this post is because I came across one of the discontinued colour by OPI; OPI Basque In The Sun, from the European Collection from back in 2002 if I’m not mistaken. It was described as warm caramel shimmer. Is it? Well it is! It’s a sheer, a lot like tanned golden brown, with a small sparkly silver shimmers. Its quite a beauty on its own way, however Its not for everyone though. It would look nice on fair or medium tones skin. Not for those who are pale or dark as the colour wouldn’t stand out in these tones.

I wanted to do some comparison with other browns, however I couldn’t find any that was similar, so instead I did mini swatches on all the browns I have:-)

Application wise it was not a pro wide brush, so for someone like me who have constantly been indulged by OPI’s current brushes; had a problem using them. Formula wise its not Big 3 toxic free; so naturally it had the smell I always hate ( my housemates are addicted to it though). Its was kind of to the streaky side. Very sheer so the pictures above were mostly 4 layers. You can get away with 3 though. I on the other hand like it fully opaque.
So.. Hope you girls like this.. will come up with something more fun tomoro (hopefully if i have the time:-))

BUNDLE MONSTER FAUXNAD, WHAT'S THAT??
Today was a crazy day at work and was almost going to call it a day at 7pm and lock myself in my depressing room when my housemate showed me to the newest parcel that arrived today. It looked like one of those ‘PosLaju’ parcels and I was wondering what did I purchase that doesn’t come in a box (usually nail polishes). To my surprise, it was the konad replica; more commonly known as ‘Fauxnad’ that I purchased from ebay! I wasn’t expecting it till end of this month and I completely forgot about it. Oh that really made my day! Yay! Only I couldn’t do any nail art today because a friend of mine has my konad sets, so instead I’m gonna show you girls what I got :-D (yeah I’m a show of haha)

It was packed in 3 different packaging, 7 in one:
But its ok coz im just too happy to see these:

The Comparison:
Can you see the difference between these two?
None isn't it? Well the left one is Konad, whilst the right is BM's Fauxnad. The difference aren't that huge except that Konad is more smoother in terms of the plate (tak calar), and the plate isnt sharp as the fauxnad. Besides, thebacking for Konad has a rubber like back but Fauxnad doesnt have it:
Image wise the image in the konad plate is larger whilst the BM's fauxnad is smaller. Im not sure how the full nail coverage will be like but i have a feeling BM's Fauxnad's width isnt going to cover my whole thumb:-( But ill talk more about it when i actually stamp them on my nails.
Overall; i feel like i own the whole nail art world with these plates; only i wish i was more artistic and knew how to create gorgeous nail arts. But at least after this you dont have to see my ugly drawings anymore:-)
I'm not that happy with the surface of the fauxnad's plate and the sharp ends. Also the images are quite deep compared to Konad so i'm kind of afraid the stamping process wouldnt be as easy as Konad's, but this is all theoretically la; the practical review will be done once i use them:-) All in all, i feel that its quite a good bargain. Bought it from ebay seller; bundlemonster. Its really a very good bargain so for those who are interested; hurry up! Oh ya, did i mention its only Rm 71 (USD 22.49 including postage) for all 21 image plates? hehe.. jangan jealous!
