OPI RALLY PRETTY PINK & RED SHATTER SWATCHES & REVIEWS

Another excitement of the day. Came back after a long tiring day from work and look what I found at my door step? The new Serena Glam Sham; France Collection!! Immediately I took my camera out and started taking pics. Forgive my ugly cuticles etc as I didn’t have time to prep up as I only had 15 mins before the sunsets. The pics are a bit blurry too because of that. Nevertheless, I love the “rally pretty pink” so much that I took a number of shots only for that. Check out how the gorgeous pinkish-gold duochrome effect is!

This is how it looks with the red shatter on.

Truthfully, I prefer it without the shatter. Somehow it just doesn’t seem to be complimenting each other. I can barely see the polish underneath the red shatter. Probably another shade of polish would look better.
As for the polish, I love the formulation and the way the polish (rally pretty pink) glides on my nails. The duochrome effect is also so gorgeous. Love it Love it!
The red shatter was easy to apply as well but it didn’t crack as much as I would love it to. Probably coz the base polish wasn’t dried enough before this was applied (was hurrying). Tell me if your girls experience the same problem ya.
Neway I hope you girls like this and coming up next (when Im able to post it up) is the white shatter! Stay tuned and have a great day ahead!!

OPI SILVER SHATTER SWATCHES & REVIEW

Morning girls..
Ok so here is a quick post on OPI’s Silver Shatter.

As you can see, I have 4 of the bright shades from the Pirates of The Carbbien Collection topped with silver shatter, and another pic is of 4 different colors (slightly darker) topped with silver shatter. Overall I think it looks better on the bright shades although darker shades do bring the silver shatter ‘out’. Application wise, unfortunately I didn’t like this shatter as compared to the black shatter. Black shatter was slightly thicker in formula and more pigmented so a layer was enough to bring the color out. However, silver shatter needed a thicker coat and that somehow reduces the shatter effects dramatically:-(
I’m not sure if I’m the only 1 experiencing it. If you do too please let me know:-)
Till thn.. Tc..

OPI PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hope you guys are doing well. Well I got this collection this morning and I just couldn’t help but to swatch them right away. Truthfully I’ve never felt this excited about any nail polish collection before. Here I’m looking at it as the brights collection instead of Pirates of the Caribbien collection coz truthfully besides the name, nothing links this to the movie. However, I have to give credits to the colors itself. That’s the whole reason for this excitement. Lets get started:

Stranger Tide

This is one of my favorite color in this collection. It’s a light dirty green crème and it’s somehow comparable to Essie’s Sew Psyched only this is much lighter. This was two coats.

Steady As Rose

Steady as rose is a pink crème unlike the other pink nude polishes produced before. The formula is more pigmented therefore 2 coats was enough for a full coverage as compared to other nudes that usually needs at least 3 coats. Its very ‘creamy’ but its not tricky to apply. The formula is somewhat like OPI’s Mod About You. Color was average. Besides the formula, there is no difference between this and the others from the soft shade collections.

Sparrow Me The Drama

This is a pink crème that is also highly pigmented that it required only 2 coats. Again the formula is thick but not tricky to apply. As for the color, its an average pink that is easily found in other collections. I couldn’t do a comparison but this is very very very close to OPI’s Japanese Rose Garden. Put a bit of microglitters in it and it would become OPI’s Flower To Flower.

Skull and Glossbones

This is a light brown gorgeous nude shade. Another favorite of mine from this collection. Looks a lot like Essie’s Chin Chilly but much easier to apply thanks to the formula and the prowide brush.

Mermaid’s Tears

Mermaid Tears Is a color you’ve seen a lot this year and last. Essie’s Turquoise and Caicos, Orly’s Ancient Jade and the list goes on. Regardless, I still love this color. Why? Coz I simply love greens!!

Planks A Lot.

This is a creamy purple. Not something unique and if you need me to compare it with something, it would easily be a shade or two lighter than funkey Donkey or China Glaze’s Grape Pop. But for this year, I would say this is the first purple ive seen in my collection:-)

Overall I think its an average collection in terms of colors coz dupes are easily found. However, like ive repeated few times above, I simply love the formula. Did OPI change something? Its like they are very pigmented where it only needs 2 coats but it was not at all difficult to apply as the polishes were slightly ‘thinner’ and ‘watery’. Tell me if you notice this ya.
Now to OPI’s Silver Shatter, I could only get 1 pic with mermaid tears as the rain started pouring and I couldn’t cont swatching. So here it is:

Great shatter effect and it’s so so easy to apply! Love it!!
