KONAD FIRST ATTEMPT-THE FAILURE

I really admire those who gets the konad thingy perfectly. I'm so so jealous:-(

I got my konad set yesterday evening and I was so excited that i started using it right away. After many attempts i've finally given up! (For the day of course!). Its so hard to apply it the way i wanted it to look like:-(. It looks so simply but thru my experience yesterday; I DONT THINK SO! 
This is what I got from Konad's website:



How to use Konad Stamping Nail Art ?
STEP 01
Apply base coat orregular
polish to nail.
STEP 02
Apply KONAD Special Nail
Polish to desired image with
a Plate.
STEP 03
Scrape across Plate with
the Scraper to remove
excessive polish.
STEP 04
Apply base coat orregular
polish to nail.
STEP 05
Apply KONAD Special Nail
Polish to desired image with
a Plate.
STEP 06
Scrape across Plate with
the Scraper to remove
excessive polish.
Helpful Hints
Clean the Scraper and Image Plate with nail polish remover after each use.
Can be used to decorate accessories such as cell phones, sunglasses or whatever you
can imagine !

Looks simple right? Yeah right! This is what my first attempt looks like:


Argh!! Help my eyes! It looks so awful! Will give it another try next time but thats it! I'm not excited by Konad anymore. Going to try on my new MAC polish soon.. so stay tuned..

    I really dont knw why the polish doesnt stick to the stamp! also, How to align them to the centre or straight the way the french manicure should be? Do help me out here! :-)

  3. It happens to everyone when they start. I do have to say that you tried the HARDEST designs. :)
    Practice. Practice. Practice. Doing it on paper really helps too. :)

  5. Nisha,

    For me, I've to do it fast. Once you've scraped the image plate, you've to quickly take the stamp & lift the pattern. To lift up the pattern from the image plate, just roll your stamp left to right (or vice versa)

    After that, to stamp on your nails, i will usually place my fingers on the table. And roll the stamp over the nail. You've to do this step pretty fast as well, because if not, the pattern on your stamp will harden & it won't stick onto your nail. :)

    And yes, Susie is right about the hardest designs you've chosen. Haha..
    you can just practice on your nail without any base color first. & prepare lotsa nail polish remover. :P
