ORLY PRECIOUS COLLECTION SWATCHES AND REVIEW

Good Morning girls..

This is gonna be a quick polish review as I’m running late for work again today! Argh!! Neway collection today is from Orly’s new Precious Collection. It’s a combination of few different finishing. Take a look at it:

Pure Porcelain

Fancy Fuchsia

Ancient Jade

Royal Velvet

Sapphire Silk

Gilded Coral

On the whole I would say it’s a ‘ok’ collection with great formula. All these polishes were easy to work with and non gave me any streaks etc. Drying time was average. As for the polish, my fav is the jade, Sapphire Silk and of course the Royal Velvet that’s the only duochrome in this collection. U?

ORLY MATTE COUTURE COLLECTION SWATCHES

Good Morning girls..

Collection today is from Orly’s Matte Couture collection. I think it was released a year or two ago..

Here are the swatches.

BLUE SUEDE

PURPLE VELVET

MATTE VINYL

On the whole, color looks exactly the same as the pics. Application was easy and the formula was very forgiving for a matte polish. Drying time was great too:-)

ORLY CALYPSO BLUE SWATCHES AND REVIEW

Good Morning girls!

Here’s another favorite blue of mine from Orly. Ok now blue is a fav regardless which brand its from for me:-)

Calypso Breeze from Orly:

It’s a bright blue crème and it applied heavenly. Drying time was great too. I wouldn’t say I never saw this before coz I did:-) looks a lot like Essie’s Mesmerize no? Probably a shade or two lighter than mesmerize?

ORLY MINT MOJITO SWATCHES AND REVIEW

Good morning girls.

Todays color is Orly’s Mint Mojitos. Love he name but the color is seriously nothing like the mint color I expected. When I saw the name mint, I thought it would have at least look minty. Instead it’s a bright green color with a little hint of yellow. Its not neon-y bright, but at some level, it is still bright.

The application was great. The polish was a little bit towards the ‘thin’ side and it was a bit ‘runny’. Drying time was average. As you can see in the pics I have this bubbles on my nails? Well that’s because I only put 1 thick coat of this instead of 2-3 thin layers. I had to rush so I was too lazy too slowly put thin layers. Shouldn’t have done that :-( oh well..

ORLY'S TENNIS ANYONE SWATCHES AND REVIEW

Good Morning Girls..

First of all I wanna say sorry for not updating more often for this past 1 week. The problem was my nails! I had to cut them for a course and ive been moarning for it this weekL Its just so short! I’ve never imagined it being this short before (yeah probably when I was a kid in school!). Neway, ill slowly get back to blogging. Trying to grow it asap!

So as for the color today, it’s a color from Orly; Tennis Anyone? It’s a off white sheer polish that applied really well. The only problem was it needed 3 coats so drying time was a little longer. So here you are; Tennis Anyone?

At times I get out of my maniac phase and opt for a subtler look and this is one of those days. I don’t know why but when it comes to soft shades etc, I prefer white rather than pink. Its more elegant I think. So what you think?

ORLY PLASTIX COLLECTION 2010 SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hi girls.  Well im just so excited to get my new camera that I had to test it out indoor (that’s the whole reason I bought it anyway) so here are some pics from Orly’s Plastix Collection.

Purple Pleather

Purple pleather is, purple. Like real purple. Love it. The application was smooth and this was 2 coats. It gives a satin like finish and dries really fast. Not as fast as matte but much much faster that other normal finishes.

Viridian Vinyl

This is a blue green polish that looks absolutely awesome! The second picture isn’t the real color though. The first one was taken with flash; gives a better idea on how it looks in real. Again, this was 2 coats too. I love the way it dries really fast but these polishes are more forgiving than matte. It probably takes about 1 minute to dry so you have time for ‘adjustment’ if you need it.

Well the pics aren’t that great so im not really satisfied with it. Regardless, this plastix collecton is amazing! I wish I bought the other two colors as well. I really like it. I love Viridian Vinyl the most. Which of this two is your favorite?

ORLY TIS IS THE SEASON COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Morning girls.

Today I’ve got a new Orly collection to show to you guys. Initially I didn’t really like it as usual. I was contemplating whether to buy it or not but after so much thought, the shopaholic side of me took charge and I bought this collection. The reason why it didn’t interest me initially was because all brands tends to come out with similar colors with probably a shade or two lesser every winter and I didn’t want to get few of the same colors In my collection. But somehow there was this ‘magnetic’ force that had pulled me towards this collection so tada… here it is.

Winter Wonder.

Winter wonder is a white silver-ish, shimmery glitter polish that’s absolutely great! I love this one! I think it was created to resemble snowflakes and although I’ve never seen one in real life, this might look like itJ this was three coats with OPI ridge filler as the base to bring that colour ‘out’.

Glitz & Glamour.

This is a gold, shimmery glitter polish. It’s a little towards the bronze-yellow side. Reminds me of OPI’s Bling Dynasty but I don’t have a comparison to show you girls. This was 2 coat. The shimmer is quite dense and that itself surprised me!:-)

Rockin Rocket.

Rockin Rocket is a burgundy- purple color that has a little shimmer on it. I don’t usually like burgundy but I’ve got to give this some credit though. There is something really nice about this color that it became my second favorite in this collection. I just don’t know how to explain it! This was also 2 coats.

Meet Me Under The Mistletoe.

Blue-green with lots of gold shimmer and it leans more towards the blue. A pretty color but again since there are just too many blue-greens this year I just cant like this 1 no matter how beautiful it looks:-(

Candy Cane Lane.

Another creamy red that looks like OPI’s Big Red Apple type. Boring!...

Naughty Or Nice.

A common blackish- purple-ish cream polish. 2 coats was enough for this 1.

Overall this collection had some gorgeous color, and some boring old colors. The application was great and the drying time ws marvelous. Getting rid of the shimmer was a pain though but all in all, I feel that it’s a standard ok collection. I want more from Orly! Something like the Cosmix collection!

ORLY HOOK UP SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hi girls, how’s your weekend so far? Mine was great! I did nothing but laze around on my couch munching away. Now I’ve got to think about how to get rid of this accumulated belly fat this whole week.

Anyway, today I have a color I want to share with you girls, Orly Hook Up. Im not sure when was this color released but its really a beautiful vibrant sunflower like semi neon yellow. Its very summery and since its summer all the time in Malaysia, this is one color that can easily be worn all year long.

The only problem with this is its very sheer! This is 4 coats! So the drying time was crazy too. However, to make it look brighter, I’m pretty sure it would look better with a white base coat. Then hopefully we don’t need 4 layers for it. If you notice the pictures, its also very streaky. I don’t have a topcoat here so this is how streaky it can get. Quite confident the topcoat will be able to ‘neutralize’ it a bit.

All in all I kind of like this color (in the mood for bright stuff). How about you? What’s your favorite color/polish at this very moment?
