OPI Nicki Minaj 2012 Collection

Hi Girls.. How are you guys doing? Hope all is doing well. Well before I proceed, Happy New Year!! Hope everyone celebrates it well. Anyways, today’s swatches is on OPI nicki Minaj Collection. This collection comes in a pack of 6 colors. 3 cremes, 2 glitters, and 1 shatter. Truthfully, im tired of these shatters. I don’t know why don they just move to a different phase rather than getting stuck in the shatter phase. Seriously! I know this might sound insane but I think the real nail polish world is stuck kind of a year behind. China produced shatter like polishes like few years ago. 2 years back they created the magnetic polishes, and last year I found mood changing- temperature nail polishes. I wonder when are all those big nail polish companies bringing these in? I know this year CG is producing the magnetic polishes. So is this year the year of magnetic polishes? We shall wait and see:-)

Regardless, here are the swatches for the Nicki Minaj Collection.

Fly

This is a normal blue but this is also a favorite of mine in this collection. Why? Coz I love crèmes, and I love BLUE!! This color is very similar to china glaze’s custom kicks. Application was ok. Im starting to dislike OPI’s prowide brush. Is it just me or does any1 realize that the brushes are getting quite hard that it produces streaks when you apply these polishes? Also, its getting too wide!

Did it On Em’

Yellow! Who the Shrek are you- one shade lighter yellow. Another repeated color. Regardless, I can’t find who the shrek are you anymore so I guess this is what that will replace it. Again same application issue as above.

Pink Friday

Pinks.. Now what can I say? Too many pinks? This was 2 coats. Its quite opaque compared to the other pinks. Same application issue as above.

Metallic 4 Life

This is a black base with large silver glitters. If you have Nubar’s Knight amour, or CG’s haunting. U probably don need this. However, this has bigger glitter than the other two though. Application was slightly easier with this compared to the crèmes.

Save Me

Save me is a holographic glitter polish with long glitters. The swatches here doesn’t do any justice to this color. Its quite nice in real life. Not my cup of tea though. Application was easy, but I needed 4 coats for this swatch. Removing it was a pain though:-(

Super Bass Shatter

Super Bass Shatter is a purple shatter. It went well with all the crèmes. It didn’t cracked as much on ‘save me’. Application was easy and it cracked easily too when you put on a very thin layer.

So.. What you think?

OPI GLAM SHAM ENGLAND COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hi girls..
Its been long time since I’ve done any swatches. I just hardly have time these days. Nevertheless, I will try to update as much as possible, even if its once a monthJ just don’t want this blog to die offL
Anyway, color today is from the OPI Glam Sham England Collection! Is it nice? Is it gorgeous? Yes!! It’s the perfect combo! This is the 4th Collection in the Glam Sham, and all that I can say is that this is the BEST of all!! I loved the smashing hit color combination with black shatter before but I think these are way better!
The application was as fantastic as always, and drying time was ok. The Grape set match dried remarkably fast but the Servin’ Up Sparkle was a little slower. All in all, love this! The colors? Here you go..

Grape.. Set.. Match
Gorgeous purple polish with micro mini pinkish & bluish glitter. Couldnt really show it here but its there. Absolutely gorgeous in real life:

OPI Servin' Up Silver
Absolutely stunning holographic topcoat. Looks like a perfect match when paired with Grape...Set...Match

OPI SHATTER SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hi Girls..
Hope you guys are doing well. I know its been a month since I updated this blog but due to time constraint, I just couldn’t blog as often. Nevertheless, here is a collection that was suppose to be posted up weeks ago; OPI shatters.
Initially, when I got this collection, I wasn’t that excited. I loved black shatter, however silver shatter had crushed my hope for shatters, and I just didn’t have as high expectation for this collection. But seriously, I was WRONG!! This collection is great! The application is great! It doesn’t crack a lot but it’s still applicable! Some of the colors gave a matte finish while the turquoise gave a shimmer finish. Presenting.. The Shatters!!

Black Shatter & OPI In My Back Pocket

OPI Blue Shatter & OPI Whats With The Catitude

OPI Red Shatter & OPI Alpine Snow

OPI Turquoise Shatter & OPI Who The Shrek Are You?

OPI White Shatter & Essie Splash of Grenadine

I didnt have Navy Shatter though.. sorry:-(
Hope u girls like this:-)

OPI RALLY PRETTY PINK & RED SHATTER SWATCHES & REVIEWS

Another excitement of the day. Came back after a long tiring day from work and look what I found at my door step? The new Serena Glam Sham; France Collection!! Immediately I took my camera out and started taking pics. Forgive my ugly cuticles etc as I didn’t have time to prep up as I only had 15 mins before the sunsets. The pics are a bit blurry too because of that. Nevertheless, I love the “rally pretty pink” so much that I took a number of shots only for that. Check out how the gorgeous pinkish-gold duochrome effect is!

This is how it looks with the red shatter on.

Truthfully, I prefer it without the shatter. Somehow it just doesn’t seem to be complimenting each other. I can barely see the polish underneath the red shatter. Probably another shade of polish would look better.
As for the polish, I love the formulation and the way the polish (rally pretty pink) glides on my nails. The duochrome effect is also so gorgeous. Love it Love it!
The red shatter was easy to apply as well but it didn’t crack as much as I would love it to. Probably coz the base polish wasn’t dried enough before this was applied (was hurrying). Tell me if your girls experience the same problem ya.
Neway I hope you girls like this and coming up next (when Im able to post it up) is the white shatter! Stay tuned and have a great day ahead!!

OPI SILVER SHATTER SWATCHES & REVIEW

Morning girls..
Ok so here is a quick post on OPI’s Silver Shatter.

As you can see, I have 4 of the bright shades from the Pirates of The Carbbien Collection topped with silver shatter, and another pic is of 4 different colors (slightly darker) topped with silver shatter. Overall I think it looks better on the bright shades although darker shades do bring the silver shatter ‘out’. Application wise, unfortunately I didn’t like this shatter as compared to the black shatter. Black shatter was slightly thicker in formula and more pigmented so a layer was enough to bring the color out. However, silver shatter needed a thicker coat and that somehow reduces the shatter effects dramatically:-(
I’m not sure if I’m the only 1 experiencing it. If you do too please let me know:-)
Till thn.. Tc..

OPI PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN SWATCHES & REVIEW

Hope you guys are doing well. Well I got this collection this morning and I just couldn’t help but to swatch them right away. Truthfully I’ve never felt this excited about any nail polish collection before. Here I’m looking at it as the brights collection instead of Pirates of the Caribbien collection coz truthfully besides the name, nothing links this to the movie. However, I have to give credits to the colors itself. That’s the whole reason for this excitement. Lets get started:

Stranger Tide

This is one of my favorite color in this collection. It’s a light dirty green crème and it’s somehow comparable to Essie’s Sew Psyched only this is much lighter. This was two coats.

Steady As Rose

Steady as rose is a pink crème unlike the other pink nude polishes produced before. The formula is more pigmented therefore 2 coats was enough for a full coverage as compared to other nudes that usually needs at least 3 coats. Its very ‘creamy’ but its not tricky to apply. The formula is somewhat like OPI’s Mod About You. Color was average. Besides the formula, there is no difference between this and the others from the soft shade collections.

Sparrow Me The Drama

This is a pink crème that is also highly pigmented that it required only 2 coats. Again the formula is thick but not tricky to apply. As for the color, its an average pink that is easily found in other collections. I couldn’t do a comparison but this is very very very close to OPI’s Japanese Rose Garden. Put a bit of microglitters in it and it would become OPI’s Flower To Flower.

Skull and Glossbones

This is a light brown gorgeous nude shade. Another favorite of mine from this collection. Looks a lot like Essie’s Chin Chilly but much easier to apply thanks to the formula and the prowide brush.

Mermaid’s Tears

Mermaid Tears Is a color you’ve seen a lot this year and last. Essie’s Turquoise and Caicos, Orly’s Ancient Jade and the list goes on. Regardless, I still love this color. Why? Coz I simply love greens!!

Planks A Lot.

This is a creamy purple. Not something unique and if you need me to compare it with something, it would easily be a shade or two lighter than funkey Donkey or China Glaze’s Grape Pop. But for this year, I would say this is the first purple ive seen in my collection:-)

Overall I think its an average collection in terms of colors coz dupes are easily found. However, like ive repeated few times above, I simply love the formula. Did OPI change something? Its like they are very pigmented where it only needs 2 coats but it was not at all difficult to apply as the polishes were slightly ‘thinner’ and ‘watery’. Tell me if you notice this ya.
Now to OPI’s Silver Shatter, I could only get 1 pic with mermaid tears as the rain started pouring and I couldn’t cont swatching. So here it is:

Great shatter effect and it’s so so easy to apply! Love it!!
