NUBAR INDIGO ILLUSION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Good Morning girls.

Today im gonna show you guys another duochrome finishing from Nubar. Now before I start let me just say that no matter what, duochromes and holos are my favorite finishing so this post might be a bit biased. Plus its Nubar! My fav too:-D

Neway, this is indigo illusion. And truthfully, it does give an illusion feeling when you see it on your nails ( mine I mean). Initially I thought it would be a purple-blue duochrome only. Little did I know that it would play some mind games and give me grey, green, silver, gold and at times pink color too! I’m totally in love with this color so I couldn’t help it but to take it at different angling to show you what I mean.

Cant really see the duochrome but still its gorgeous isn’t it? Well the drying time was great too! The only problem was the application. Somehow the brush seemed thinner here so it was a little difficult to apply. Other than that this is an awesome polish:-)

NUBAR WILD LIFE SWATCHES & REVIEW

Girls.. i couldnt help it but to show you gir;s this before heading to bed. You know how i just love duochromes, and greens? Well here let me show you the perfect combo of it. Introducing the very much delayed post of Nubar's Wild Life..

This color is one of the color from the Nubar Green Collection, however, i had misplaced this hence the reason for this delay. To read the review on all the other colors, click here. As for this, just love it. Bare in mind this doesnt have a toap coat. Interesting isnt it? Reminds me of the crickets i used to catch in the jungle behind my hse:-)

NUBAR HOT LIME GREEN SWATCH & REVIEW

Morning girls.

This is some random color im wearing today:-)

Feeling really into neon today so im wearingà Nubar’s Hot Lime Green! Its very very striking!

Application unfortunately for this 1 wasn’t as great as all the other Nubar colors. It appeared to be streaky and I needed 3 coats for this. Of course with three coats the drying time was long too. In fact very long. The color is ok. I’m in my manic phase so I think its coolJ what you think? Too bright for you??

NUBAR VENETIAN GLASS SWATCHES AND REVIEW

When I bought this collection initially, I didn’t interest me at all hence the reason why this post is delayed. However, upon putting it on, it change this whole perception I had on it. Its quite nice! Infact I had Bronzo on my nails for 3 days! 3 Days! That’s a history! Nothing stays on my nails more than a day (although sometimes I do wear them for 2 days but that’s 99.99% because of laziness)

Neway, back to this 1, the color is not that attractive in the bottle but it looks totally ‘unique’ on the nails. It wasn’t something I would wear but because of the response I got for it, I continued wearing it. Its totally attention seeking colorsJ

Arencia:

Arencia is a orangish-redish polish that has little flecks on it. Had some duochrome effect on it too but its hardly noticeable.

Bronzo:

Bronzo is the browner version of Arencia. Somehow I was attracted to this color last Sunday so this is what I wore for 3 days in a row.

Caramello:

Totally a caramel like color. From a distance it looks a little bit goldish.

Oro:

Oro is a polish in a combination of orange and yellow. Again this looks like light gold sometimes. It has gold glass flecks on it so the shine is very very noticeable:-)

Vaso:

This is a purple with silver fleck polish. My second favorite in this collection. However, im wondering if this is similar to OPI’s The color To Watch. I just don’t have the time to do the comparisons right now. Have any of you seen the comparison anywhere eelse?

Verde

Verde reminds me of algae’s in the water. Its blackish, blueish green with little glas fleck on it. Has duo chrome effect as well. I really like this color as well.

They had another two color from this collection-red, but I didn’t purchase it because seriously I’ve got just too many reds with me. For the rest of it; as usual it was easy to apply, perfect drying time and all. Overall im very satisfied with this collection although I wasn’t too happy with the choices of color. Why all orangey, redish brownish? Why only two odd bluish purpleish color? I wish they had more blue and greensJ

NUBAR FORTRESS COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

This is a very much delayed post of one of the Nubar collections ive picked up during My Nail Solution sale 2 months back. The bad news is that its very ‘outdated’ that im not even sure if anyone is gonna read this, but the good news is that; its all greys! And you don’t get much of these shades around so im sure i'll grab some attention here and there:-)

This collection; The Nubar Fortress Collection consists of 5 crèmes, 2 shimmers and 1 glitter. The colours are beautiful and the formulation and application is outstanding. I even love the names; reminds me of the Judith McNaught's Historical romance novels I love so much.

Ill go from the lightest to the darkest ya:

Marble Tower:

Marble tower is the lightest gray in this collection. Its barely grey, more towards white with a drop of black in it.

Citadel

Citadel is the second lightest in the collection. It looks almost similar to marble tower only it has a little hint of brown in it so you can see the ‘yellow’ side of it. It’s crème as well.

Barricade

Barricade is a little darker than citadel. In this the grey is more noticeable. If you put a pool of white polish, this probably has about 5 tiny drops of black's finish. It really looks like a newly painted grey fence, or more like fresh ‘simen' (malay word for cement).

Palisade

Palisade is a colour that has a more noticeable grey. It looks a lot like Barricade, only slightly darker. A medium toned grey.

Stronghold

Stronghold is the darkest of the creams. I love this shade the most. Its probably one of the best grey to date and surprise surprise- its only one coat! Very very ‘metal-strong’

Silver Sword

Silver Sword *kching..kching* (swords fight sound). Look at it shining. Look at it! Doesn’t it look like a sword from 1800? Its really pretty. Like a charcoal grey shimmer.

Dark Castle

Now if silver sword was there to protect something, what would it protect? Yap the dark black horse and ultimately the dark castle. So of both which do you think should be nicer? True the Dark Castle! Coz that’s what you are protecting isn’t it? back to the polish, true enough the dark castle, as the name suggests, is the darkest shade in the shimmer range. And yes it is a beauty! Shimmery and metallic like finish. 2 coats for this.

Knight Amour

Ok so we have the whole Fortress thingy goin on, but don’t forget the most important thing in this whole ‘fight’ THE KNIGHT!! The hero of ‘the story’, the one where everything else wouldn’t have mattered without it.. The one you should see the last. That’s right.. introducing, the knight in the shinning amour,

Isnt its so glitterly dark? Ive never seen such intense dark glitter before. Its so opaque and the glitters are so dense that one layer was more than enough! The swatch above has one layer and two layers on different fingers. Its really cool! If you can purchase only one from this collection, I suggest you to get this! The ‘hero’ of all. I'm not sure if there is anything like it out there. From my experience; I dont think so.

Now away from the polish; do you guys remember Cave of Golden Roses? Fantaghiro? I don’t know why with this Nubar collection I’m thinking about that 15 years ago’s story. I wanna see Tarabas again; my first crush! :-(

NUBAR PRISM COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

Good Morning Girls..

The swatches I’m gonna share with you girls this morning is from one of Nubar’s Collection- Prism Collection. A set that I’ve purchased probably months ago and completely forgot about. For that im sorry because they are so so gorgeous! The Prism Collection is suppose to be holographic nail polish, however; its not the base that’s holo, it’s the glitters! I’m not going to talk much about it and give my biased opinion on it so, for a better opinion, take a look at it for yourself

Treasure- a light lavender holo

Essence- a pink peach holo

Jewel- totally a jewel. Dark brown holo

Spark- a light brownish holo

Absolute- reminds me of absolute vodka:-) you can totally get 'drunk' looking at this sea blue holo

Prize- a reddish, pinkish holo

Jem- a light brown greyish holo

Brilliant- a barbie pink holo

FUH!! That’s a lot of pictures aye? Well, I know for some of you (even me actually) feel that holographic is suppose to be something like CG’s OMG collection (the IDK I showed you girls previously), but these are nice too! Especially the glitters. Not a fan of glitters but these are mind blowing. Really!

Application wise was quite good. It’s a sheer polish unfortunately so I needed 3 coats at the very least to give a good opaque coverage. But the finish is absolutely magnificent! I’m sorry girls, but I’m just so in love with some of these colours that I cant stop admiring them:-) My fav are- absolute, the 3 browns (WOW!), treasure and brilliant:-)

So..What do you think? Am I just too biased? Or are they really beautiful?
