DARK MANICURE-BEST TIPS

Somehow despite having all the beautiful spring colours or softshades, it just doesn't seem enough. Every once in a while we will have our eyes on the dark shades. By dark shades i mean dark purples, dark bugundies, dark purple and the likes and not just plain black!.
Few people have asked me on what are the best ways to do dark manicure and so here i are the tips ive extrated from allure.com:-) Sorry for not being able to reply personally..
anyways.. check out these tips:

  1. Do single layer- yes u heard that right. Unlike the softer shades, dark shades are usually thick in formulation so go for a single layer. But make sure you put on a base coat so your nails doesnt get yellow and top coat for shining purpose and also to prevent it from chipping fast.
  2. Cut Your Nails!- Make sure your nails are short and square. rounded and long dark nails looks like vampire! so unless you want this look, dont go there! Make sure your nails are also even as dark shades are visible on non-smooth surface
  3. Becarefull-  Proceed with the colouring with caution. Do not smudge! and if it does, clean it up with the orange stick fast!
  4.  Make it last- make the colour last by applying top coat every 4 days.
and by following all these  simple tips, who knows you might be like me; no more soft shades, dark rules!:-) Which dark shades we have? click here

And Now..

The Problem with black or darker shades are its hard to pull it off the way you want it to be. Frait not! Read the tips below on the looks you want:
from: http://skincare.lovetoknow.com
For Gothic Look, along with your polish wear:
  •        Jet-black, stick straight hair
  •        Pale white makeup
  •        Black lipstick
  •        Black clothing

For sophisticated, elegant look:
  •        Do not wear black clothing.
  •        Wear simple jewelry. Let your black nails be your main accessory.
  •        Black tends to look classiest on short, well-manicured nails. Extremely long or obviously fake black nails simply look scary or costumish.
  •        Very dark nail polish attracts attention and requires a bit of confidence. If you prefer to be a wallflower, skip the black.
