OPI KATY PERRY COLLECTION AND SWATCHES

First of all I would like to apologize to all my reader for the lack of updates. I try my best to wake up early everyday to post something but that just somehow doesn’t happen anymore! My bed seems to have this magnetic pull that doesn’t allow me to wake up anymore. Been late to work few times this month itself!

Now back to the post, another apology to you readers because I cant review the second part of Texas Collection today coz I accidently deleted the swatches yday (again! Feel like punching myself) so instead I’m gonna show you girls my swatches on Katy Perry Collection (a little bit delayed I know). This is the first time polishes were sent to me for review so I’m super-ly excited:-) Of course im gonna say the truth no matter what! Didn’t get the black shatter though. Heard its sold out worldwide. Really??!! I Want!! Uhuhhuhuhu..

Ok here’s the colors I have:

Teenage Dream

I hear lots of partial favoritism towards this. I like it too. Only not as much though. I like the fact that its glitter and pink. Hardly saw any pink glitters around so this is cool!:-) It has this big chunky and small gold-silver dust on it. Very nice but pain in the arse to remove though. This was 2 coats.

Last Friday Night.

I usually love blue and green a lot and am always biased towards the color but seriously, I dislike this polish! For no particular reason actually. It might be because there’s so many beautiful glitter blue out there (OPI Simmer and Shimmer is one of them) or probably because it reminds me of those cheapo polishes we always find in “Pasar Malam” (Night Market). Neway, This was two coats. As for the color it has a faint blue base and blue-gold-silver glitters on it.

The One That Got Away

This color might look dull here but its absolutely gorgeous in real. I usually don’t like red but this somehow caught my attn. Like the whole glassy flake concept in this polish. See it in real to see how beautiful it is. I bet it looks way better under black shatter. Sigh.. wish I had it.

Not Like The Movies

If you ask me, this is my favorite polish in this collection. What’s not to love about this polish? It gives such an intense duochrome reflection under sunlight that it just had to be my favorite. I couldn’t capture the duochrome effect properly but basically it has grayish base, with purple, and green reflected at different angling and lighting. Its just so so gorgeous! It reminds me a lot of Ingrid from Nubar only that’s darker and it’s a bit bluish. This was 2 coats.

All in all, the application was great, and drying time was good too. The glitters however gave me a hard time to remove em (as usual) but other than that, it was great. I like almost all the colors in this collection except Last Friday Night. Cant seem to like it even if I force myself and it being very sheer didn’t help to. Hopefully it looks great under black Shatter.
