OPI BURLESQUE HOLIDAY 2010 COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW-OTHERS

Hey girls.. So this is the second part of the OPI burlesque collection swatches. This don’t have as much glitter as the other 6 colors but regardless, it’s still pretty. This second half of the collection has lots of reds and I really hope you girls like it.
Ali’s Big Break

Ali’s big break is a red ‘jelly’ like color that is bright and usual for OPI colors (similar to keys to my karma only the jelly version). However, the great thing is that it is packed with lots of liitle gold sparkly glitters. Really pretty. I couldn’t capture it in the pics but in real life its awesome! I needed 3 coats for this

Let Me Entertain You.

This is a bright pinkish reddish polish that also has lots of glitters on it. Unlike Ali’s big break however, it gave an opaque finish with only 2 coats!

Rising Star

Rising star is the only polish with a bronzey-gold finish in this collection. Somehow it reminds me of a ‘golder’ version of Nubar Bronzo from Venetian Glass collection. A bit brighter but nice..

Take The Stage

Take the stage is a red-ish version of rising star. Also a great color. Now this is exactly Nubar Bronzo so this is a total disappointment for me coz now I have two of the same color:-(

Teasy Does It

Tease-y does it is a deep plum coloured polish with little purplish pinkish glitters on it. I love this color because its so dark (im into dark colors now), an eye catcher and fun looking color as well. Love the way it comes with glitters. Really nice..

Overall this collection isn’t at all a disappointment. You know how I’ve been going on and on about OPI coming out with same boring colors again and again etc? Well this collection is probably one of the few that isn’t similar to anything they have produced so ya .. I love this collection and I really hope that they don’t stop producing ‘new’ colors..
Application for this collection was great. However, ive noticed that the brushes got a little wider than the last time. Is it pro-xl-wide brush now? Coz this seriously didn’t fit my little finger. I really hope its just a trial for this collection only and they go back to the normal size. Other than that it’s a great collection with good application as well. Very smooth. The removal was a pain at times because the glitters got stuck and was a little tedious to remove. The drying time was average for some and great for others. But nothing more than 10 mins so that’s fine..Overall, as ive mention its an amazing collection, with beautiful colors to satisfy everyone's "holiday needs". Great! :-)

So.. which is your favorite color in this collection? I cant choose :-( Too many!

  2. I only got Sparkle-icious from the collection as a whole, so I guess that's my favourite. :)

But from this part? Probably Teasy Does It.

  5. I can't say that I'm thrilled with anything here. Funny part is I had the feeling that I'd seen these before, when I'd seen swatches on other blogs, it wasn't until you mentioned that they are dupes of Nubar that I had that, "Aha!" moment. I think I'd rather get the Nubars.

And while I do like the glitters, they really are such a huge pain in the butt to remove! I suppose if I find them going for cheap somewhere, I might buy them as a top coat, but wear them as a full mani like you did. No way, I'd be cleaning glitter off my cuticles for a week! lol
