Bulking up your nails: Top Tips..

Before we get in detail about nails and strengthening it, let us clarify one thing; nails are as 'fragile' as hair!.
When it comes to hair, we get all tensed up if it isn't in great shape, or if it's falling more and more daily, or its super dry hair that day and yada..yada..yada. The stress never ends when it comes to a bad hair day..
 But your nails? Do you feel the same way? do u get the same stress every morning? Or u just dont care much? believe it or not, its just the same as your hair! its made of the same stuff as your hair, and when mistreated, it will dry and break:-(. If you think its not as important as your hair when it comes to appearance? then you are absolutely wrong! We use our hands for everything and its as vital as our hair and makeup on daily basis to make an appearance. Imagine shaking hands with dirty unmanaged, unhealthy hands. Yucks!
Anyways, If you need any tips to have healthy nails, here you go;
On a daily basis use a nail strengthener. Every two days, remove the strengthener and reapply.

If you don't need to have your nails painted, keep them bare for a few days/weeks. This allows your nails to breathe. If you're constantly applying and re-applying polish, your nails get dried out. It's important to let the nail bed breathe every so often in order to keep it healthy.

When you get a professional salon manicure, you can keep your polish on longer & your nails stronger, by reapplying a topcoat 3 days after your manicure. This will help you to maintain your manicure for a longer period of time because your nails are stronger and less flexible when you have a great topcoat on them.

Don't leave your nail polish on for too long. When your nail polish chips, take off the polish. Keeping the same polish on your nails for too long will stain them and dry them out. The nail bed gets weaker/drier from nail polish chemicals and therefore, will become weaker as the polish wears off and as time goes on.

Try to invest in natural nail polishes or visit a salon that offers a natural/eco-friendly manicure. Find nail polishes that contain no harmful ingredients such as formaldehyde.  Nail polishes with chemicals in the ingredient list dry out nails. Over time, the result of these chemicals in nail polish is brittle nails.

Invest in a great basecoat to add strength to your nails before polishing them. Dont worry, You can apply polish over it and it won't make it chip!
