There are numerous rumors claiming that fake OPI nail lacquers are available in the market. These ‘fake OPI’ are claimed to be produced and distributed by China. How in depth this rumors are is yet to be confirmed. However we have attend to few fake nail lacquers from this brand and these are the few tips on how to confirm the originality; taken from various websites;
• Check the consistency of the polish. Make sure it isn’t too thick or runny to create uneven effect upon application
• Make sure the polish applied isn’t too dilute where more
than 3 thin coats are needed to achieve the same result as
the ad.
• Check the brush. At times it isn’t even, and has few ‘short
strands’.
• On the applicator, it should have a ‘bumpy’ word engraved;
OPI
• When left for a long time, make sure the polish doesn’t
separate into 2 layers.
• If you are new to OPI, search and remember your colors. Some cheap fake ones has the colors and name mixed up. The ‘higher range’ fake ones at time has almost the same shade and looks original only to be discovered the labels below the bottles are dissimilar with the original ones
Besides all these, only a frequent OPI user would know how to differentiate an AAA fake and the original. Regrettably I can’t assist more on how to discover the originality of OPI products. These fake products might be beautiful and safe but it isn’t worth the cost even if it’s slightly cheaper than the original ones. Buy Original, and have a longer lasting, classy nail polish.
